Job description
We are looking for two groundworker roles:
Site Operative: you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of groundworks, including drainage, foundations, kerbing, paving, and concreting. You will work as part of a close-knit team to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality.
Site Supervisor: you will take on additional responsibilities, including overseeing site teams, ensuring health & safety compliance, liaising with site managers and clients, and keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out groundwork tasks (drainage, foundations, and external works)
- Operate machinery and equipment safely (for operatives with relevant tickets)
- Work as part of a team to meet project deadlines
- Follow all health and safety regulations and site procedures
- For Site Supervisors: manage site teams, ensure quality standards and liaise with management
What we’re looking for
- Experience in groundworks and civil engineering
- CSCS card (essential)
- CPCS/NPORS tickets (preferred but not essential for operatives)
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions
- Have the right to work in the UK
- For Site Supervisors: SSSTS/SMSTS
